Summer FARM & TOUR Adventures: book ahead if you can
During the warm-weather months, you can take a self-guided tour when you visit Board’s Honey Farm anytime we are open. Daily 10-5pm.
School and Educational Tours

If you have a date in mind let us know soon. The farm becomes yours for the day!
Dress for the weather, bring your lunches and maybe some allowance for the shop!
Your school group will be split up for staggered tours that are a manageable size.
Each participant in a group will be offered a piece of comb honey, as well as a small set of beeswax candles. Both farm made items enhance the experience of learning by engaging the sense of taste and texture. The incredible sweet taste and unique waxy texture of comb honey will surprise individuals who have not yet enjoyed it. All parts are edible and very nutrient dense.
Each staggered tour slot is approximately 25-40 minutes. Depending on total students. there could be 4 unique staggered tour areas for students to attend. Lunch break can happen at the conclusion of all tour slots or in the middle to allow some free time to walk our trails and play in the WeeBee Play yard. Visiting the shop for take home gifts is encouraged in small groups of students who are looking, adult chaperons are requested to accompany them to oversee their activities.
Tour program can occur rain or shine. Rain dates can be arranged in case of delay.
$19.50/per student, parent or teacher (taxes included)

Bee Wisdom Chats – Tea with the Queen Bee – Ann Board, founder of Board’s Honey Farm, shares her passion for all things nature, focusing particularly on the inspirational honeybees and their bounty.
Come enjoy a cup of hot or cold tea sweetened with honey, of course!

Beekeeping Workshops for beginners – join Jaimie Board to learn about the inner working of a live beehive, get the necessary hands on experience needed to manage your own colonies. Is it time to level up your knowledge, before buying live bees? Take part to learn techniques used at Board’s Honey Farm. Apply them in your own efforts to maintain healthy, strong, honey producing hives. No equipment necessary.
Sundays – June 7,14,21,28 1-5 pm

Advanced Beekeeping Workshop for winter ready bees- Join Jaimie Board to learn the stages of getting bee hives ready for the cold Canadian winter months. Ask questions and receive guidance around IPM (integrated pest management) practices for your hives that encourages strong, healthy winter bee populations. Learn about honey harvesting techniques and storage management. No equipment necessary.

Family Tours – a lively tour with second generation, head beekeeper, Jaimie Board, for those curious to know more about beekeeping and the incredible world of the honeybee.
Includes a tasty piece of comb honey and a peak into our wax studio!
