Pure Beeswax Candles & Pieces
Our candles are 100% pure beeswax candles, no artificial colour or fragrance added. As a concentrate of honey, there are many benefits to burning them. Wax also contains elements of tree resin. When you burn a beeswax candle, negative ions are released which attach to positive ions, resulting in a neutralized environment making your body more relaxed.
Beeswax is also a heavy vapour. When it cools in the air, it drops to the floor, carrying with it dust and particulates that can aggravate allergies.
Never leave a candle unattended. Make sure to trim the wicks to 1/4″ and hug in the edges to ensure that the wick has lots of oxygen. Beeswax burns at a rate of 1/4″ every 2hrs.
Beeswax candles become increasingly dense as they age. The wax will start to look dusty. This is dusty “bloom” is the sign that a beeswax candle will burn more slowly with less drips. Bloom can be polished off by use of a cloth, a quick pass of a hair dryer, or by a rub of your hand.
